Play any past day
Every daily puzzle on Arkai keeps every day it has ever run, and none of it sits behind a login or a payment. Miss a day, or a month, and it is still there the next time you open the game.
How to reach an earlier day
Each daily game has its own ‹ › arrows next to the day number on its title screen (or, from a keyboard, the comma and period keys). Stepping back opens that day's puzzle exactly as it was; stepping back to a day you never solved does not touch your streak, because a streak only counts a day played on the day it was current.
There is no calendar to jump straight to a date yet — you step one day at a time. That is a convenience the portal does not have, not an access it withholds: the arrows reach all the way back to day one no matter how many steps that takes.
Why this holds
This is not a policy that could quietly change later. Each day's puzzle is worked out from its own date the moment you open it — nothing is stored centrally and nothing is ever deleted — so there is no earlier day for the game to have "run out of" or to purge to save space. Keeping the whole run playable costs the portal nothing extra, which is also why it is free.

- Bearing — Rotate, listen, triangulate the hidden sources. Playable from September 21, 2026.
- Echo Sounding — Ping a hidden grid, deduce the echoes. Playable from September 21, 2026.
- Trunk Line — Ping the hidden network, trace every line. Playable from September 21, 2026.
- Blind Corners — Fire beams into a dark box and work out where its mirrors hide. Playable from September 18, 2026.
- Ink Side Down — Roll the cube so its inked side prints only the marks. Playable from September 16, 2026.
- One Step Late — Your shadow copies you, one turn behind. Playable from September 16, 2026.
Questions
- Do I need an account to open a past day?
- No. Opening an earlier day works exactly like opening today's puzzle — there is no sign-in anywhere on Arkai.
- Does going back cost anything?
- No. Nothing on Arkai is paid, including every earlier day of every daily puzzle.
- Does playing a past day count toward my streak?
- No. A streak only counts a day played on the day it was current — each game says so in its own rules, and playing an earlier day never breaks or extends one.
- Is there a limit to how far back I can go?
- No. The arrows keep working until they reach day one of that game, however long ago that was.
